WoW Hunter Pet Changes Coming in the WotLK Expansion

Wrath of the Lich King Hunter Pet Talent Trees

In the WOTLK expansion, all hunter pets will have their talents and abilities completely reworked. Instead of a fairly common set of talents, each pet will now have their own customizable talent tree and up to 13 points in which you can spend to customize your pet. These talent trees work very similar to your own hunter talent trees unlocking new skills for your pet as you invest each point. The following are the 3 new talent trees with the pet families using each tree listed below:

New and Exciting Wrath of the Lich King Hunter Pet (WotLK) Families

Wrath of the Lich King will introduce serveral new hunter pet families for hunters to choose from when selecting an in game companion. The following new pet families are currently known. Pet families followed by a (*) are a new type of pet known as "EXOTIC". These pets will require a 51 point talent in the beast mastery tree in order to be tamed. Pets without the (*) are regular pets and function the same as existing pets.

Devilsaur * - Large Tyrannosaurus Rex like Dinosaur Pets
Moth - Flying Insects with Large Butterfly Like Wings
Rhino * - Huge Four Legged Beasts with Horns Protruding From Their Faces
Silithid * - Walking Tank Like Armored Insects
Wasp - Large Colorful Flying Insects with Stingers
Worm * - Large Slithering Beasts in Multiple Colors
